Dear Daddy

It has been 18 years since you were called home. It seems like it was yesterday and a million years ago too.  I miss your smile and your gentle nature, you never said a bad word about or to anyone. Remember when we were little and played upstairs making a lot of noise, you were sitting in your chair and reading the paper. Every once in a while you would shout out " Quiet down I'm coming up there" then you stomped your feet in a sitting position and we would laugh.  We knew you weren't coming after us. We loved it.  Baseball and BBQ chicken on Sundays. That's how we learned  how the game was played.  I miss you every day.  I love you Daddy.
Till we meet again.

  1. This was beautiful. I'm so sorry about your daddy. That must be so hard. :(

  2. It is hard to lose a parent. Just got a call today from my brother that my dad is not doing good, it looks like he had a stroke last night. He has lived 86 wonderful years but it is still hard to see him failing.

So glad you have such happy memories of your dad!
