Happy New Year and a few Reolutions

I am wishing You and Yours a Happy New Year. May this new year be better than the last.
I am up right now because I have that achy sore throat virus. I can't sleep, and Eddie is working. Its better because I would just disturb him. I think that I just wore myself down sewing over 60 hr the week before Christmas. And then I forgot to take photos of everything I made that week. My sewing room looked like a bomb went off in it as I went from project to project. It took me a whole day to clean it up and put away all the extra fabric and other supplies.  Since I have this deficit that everything has to be perfect just to mess it up again when I start another project.  Any way its all nice now and I will start another project covering some lamp shades for a chandelier I bought at the garage sale. I hope that I remember to take before and after pics.

Happy

December 29th 1972 was our wedding date. We got married while he was home on leave. Yesterday we ended our 39th year and Today we began our 40th year.
We have had our rough times like everyone, but I would not trade my high school sweetie for anything in the world. 39 yr is a long time but not nearly long enough.
I love you Eddie Forever and always no matter what!.

An Early Christmas Gift

Thank You Cat, from studiopasileycat.blogspot.com. She designed and set up button.  I love it !!!!!  do have a look at her blog
In January my blog is going to take a new and better look.  So please grab  my button and follow my blog and have faith you will love what I am planning to do.

I am always making something out of something else.

Kinda Krazy

Everything is in the mail Yeah!!  There was not even a line. wooshed in and wooshed out.
I went to get my hair cut today. I always take my hair dresser a little something every time I see her, just to let her know that she is appreciated.  My whole extended family has their hair cut by her.
I walked in and I had a carton of fresh eggs under my arm. Everyone was calling my name and talking to me. I guess it was my day to be popular.  Over at one of the nail tables was one of my sisters, then came in my daughter. the whole famdamly
was there and then Lisa my youngest sister said Lori my other sister just left.   we were all laughing about the "Mueller Girls" (our maiden name).  I went over to sit in the area that was near my hairdresser (we will call her Julie) thats her name.
Julie still had a client in the chair. I told her I had eggs and set them on her station.
After a few minutes the woman in her chair looked at me and said " how are your eggs"  I simply replied " mostly dead I assume" The whole shop laughed. It was sort of funny.  Just some girl stuff. Got to go make something out of something else....................

Another Tote Full Of Goodies

A True Story As Written By Adam

"Cover your heads people!" My six year old Toby exclaimed
as we approached Walmart.

"Prepare for battle".

This was his war cry as he wrapped the top of his head
in his jacket.

"What is the problem?"  I relented as I tried to herd
our four kids all under 10 years old into the tire
and lube center.

"It's them."  He pointed skyward.  "The pigeons.
Don't scare them. Pigeons poop when you scare them.
They can't help it!"

My eight year old Aiden, was nodding in agreement.
"It's true, he's right."

Delaney my two year old added "Ew poop, Ew poop"
to anyone; family, onlookers, spectators other customers
or workers. She was a toddler sized FEMA broadcast.

The customers were obviously split into two groups in front
of me. Those who have bright, out going children, who speak
their minds and those who have the same but often hate that
they have quite so many.

Thanks to PBS kids my sons had become savants  to the pigeon
gastrointestinal process.

"Look" exclaimed Aiden as he pointed at two pigeons jockeying
for position in front of the warm air return vent high above us.

"They're mating"

"They are NOT mating" I declared while I swept my youngest
and only girl, Delaney aka Princess aka Princess-cuts-a lot
(the latter due to her prowess with a plastic sword,
often backing her older brothers in to corners
with none to playful swipes of a hard plastic blade).

Aiden was still shaking his head, as if to indicate to his
brothers how little dad really knows about pigeons and their mating habits.

In mid swoop the soda can in my hand got caught up in the
momentum and a portion flung out on to the ground and
on to my ten year old,Lucas.

"What was that?"  Lucas exclaimed, True terror iced his words.

Luke's body was frozen in fear of foreign urea.  He was checking
his dampened shirt like a soldier searching for flesh
wounds after a fire fight.

"My soda spilled a little Luke" I said.

"Oh, thank goodness, I thought it was a pigeon peeing on me."

Apparently, nothing fills a ten year old boy's nightmares
quite like the thought of pigeon urine coming in
contact with clothing and skin.

You'd be forever known as the kid who got peed
on by pigeons.

That is a story that does not easily die, that's the stuff of urban
legends and local torment.

Delaney looked at his dampened shirt and up at
her eldest brother's relieved face.
She pointed and delivered. "Eww poop"

Can You Find The Diva

So much to still do

The time is going quickly.  I am sharing pictures from the Shabby Tote Swap, And the Country Pleasures Christmas Apron Swap. Love them both.
Mailing my Secret Santa package and my YOE Pixie ornament. Then I am done and I still have a few things to finish for family.
NYR is one swap at a time (maybe?)
We have already started talking about 2012 projects for the house.
Since I spent today washing my fuzzy little babies after hubby groomed them. Since I now have no energy left.  I have to make up tomorrow for not sewing today.  The fuzzy companions are clean and smell good and look great for the Holidays Yeah!!
